We each have different needs and priorities depending on many variables, some being age, current circumstance as well as associated responsibilities.

For MBC to be of assistance there firstly needs to be some level of awareness that the current status quo requires change. You may finally be listening to, willingly or otherwise, to those around you and not just embarking on change for change's sake. The old saying that "..if it not broken don't fix it.." is valid to a point. What is important is that we do not get stuck in a rut of just doing things because we have always done so.

If we do not change or continue to make poor choices, disharmony and consequences start to mount. Then varying degrees of unease creep in and soon become a normal part of our everyday life.

To get some perspective it's important to allocate the time to take note of how we act out and live our lives. MBC will assist as a neutral 3rd party observer offering commentary, advice and strategies for positive change.

In the end it's still up to you the client in what happens next. You are either ready for change or still too caught up in your story to be able to embark on change.

Those ready for change embrace change to varying degrees. MBC will encourage you to hold onto behaviors what are still relevant, improving where possible and letting go of those that are no longer working.

Regular self re-evaluation using your heightened awareness will then become second nature.

Being Stuck:

As individuals we can easily get "stuck in our story" and slip into denial, play the victim or just try and ignore the need for change. Some of us are still stuck as children or teenagers in a adult body. Too scared to evolve, to change and move out of our comfort zone, whether we are happy or not.

The act of being "stuck" is normally accommodated until major changes start to occur that can not be ignored. Like being confronted head on with the start of a family and children of our own. Change is then thrust upon us, as well as the new responsibilities associated with parenting come the multitude of changing relationship dynamics.

At MBC we look to identify the key issues along with an understanding why the current approach is no longer working. This can be done on a individual basis, as a couple or family group.

Face to face consultations are usually the best way to identify the issues and work out strategies for change, along with a practical implementation plan. It is also important to agree a way of measuring and monitoring results going forward.

The aim is to not only resolve the current issues but to establish strategies for sustainable change, enabling harmony and balance to be a part of day to day living.
